How We Handle Reviews

Who can rate

Only players who finished a game can rate it: from their phone, on the end screen, or from the personal link they get by email after the game. You have to have played: there is no open form for anyone to fill in. One review per player per game.

No incentives

Nobody is paid or rewarded for leaving a review: no discount, no code, no gift. The friend code sent at the end of the game never depends on a review. Reviews from the Escape & Chill team and their friends and family are neither published nor counted.

Moderation

A star rating on its own is published right away. A review with a comment is read before it is published, whatever the rating: negative reviews are published like any other.

A comment is rejected only if it is abusive, off-topic, contains personal data (full name, address, phone number…) or gives away the puzzle solutions. We never edit the text: it is published as written or rejected. If we have a way to reach the author (the email address behind the link they received), we tell them why it was rejected.

What is published

The first name (or the nickname chosen in the game, or “A player” if no name was given), the rating, the comment if there is one, the number of players, the date of the game and the date of the review. Reviews are shown from newest to oldest, not sorted by rating. The average rating is only shown once 10 reviews have been published, along with the number of reviews. Reviews stay published as long as the game is on sale, unless you ask for yours to be removed.

Changing or removing your review

On the end screen or from the email link, tapping a different star changes your rating. From the email, the rating is only saved once you confirm it on the page (a click in the email alone is not enough). To change or remove a review later, write to us at contact@victoire-digital.fr and include the game code.

Personal data

The review is kept together with the game code, to check that it comes from a player. For details and your rights (access, deletion), see the privacy policy.
